When the pandemic hit, British Indian Rock Artist, Maya Lakhani, felt a deep need to create music in lockdown. With no band and in isolation, she learnt how to write, record & produce rock music from her bedroom.

 

Her unique brand of stylish self-produced alt rock, has been making waves, receiving support from; BBC Introducing, Radio 1, BBC Asian Network, Planet Rock, Radio X, Spotify editorial and Rolling Stone Magazine.

 

She has also become a powerful force on the live scene, supporting Reverend and the Makers, performing a BBC Live Lounge session, and bringing her full band shows to renowned venues Dialled In Festival, Jack White’s Third Man Records, the 100 Club. Maya is an artist that advocates for change, often writing about important themes like women’s rights & representation. As an Indian woman, she wants to be seen & heard in the rock scene.
